Yesterday’s APPG meeting brought together MPs, Peers and industry stakeholders for a valuable discussion on the future of vape regulations in the UK.

The meeting featured a presentation from the Independent British Vape Trade Association (IBVTA) on the economic importance of the UK’s independent vape sector, alongside discussions on the implementation of the Tobacco and Vapes Act, and the wider range of regulatory avenues Government intends to pursue in order to tackle the illicit trade.

Key topics included:

• The importance of supporting legitimate businesses while tackling the illicit vape market.

• Progress on the Government’s measures to address rogue retailers and prevent youth access to vaping products.

• The potential impact of regulatory differences across the UK’s nations.

• Further opportunities to strengthen enforcement and create a fair, effective regulatory framework.

Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed their expertise, and helped facilitate a constructive discussion on protecting consumers, supporting responsible businesses, and shaping future policy.
